Why Leaders Attend Hubspot’s INBOUND 2016

Hubspot’s annual INBOUND event is here in Boston next week, and I’m looking forward to networking with the Inbound community — reconnecting with folks I know and meeting others for the first time. HubSpotters know their stuff and I love learning from them! Most importantly, I’ll be able to put what I learn to use improving my own sales and marketing productivity.
While I talk a lot about Account Based Marketing, which is often synonymous with outbound strategies, I have always been a firm believer in a well-rounded marketing strategy. The key is implementing campaigns that align with your business goals and produce the desired results. For many organizations, this means a smart mix of inbound and outbound strategies.
LeadGnome supports both inbound and outbound marketing, achieving different results with different strategies. For inbound, or lead-based marketing, where it’s necessary to have a frictionless process for signups, you may get nothing more than an email to go on initially. Once you begin campaigning to those email addresses, the reply emails that come back can be used to fill in the blanks like name, phone number, address, company and title, and whether or not the contacts are associated with any of your current target accounts.
For organizations employing ABM and primarily outbound strategies to the best-fit accounts they’re targeting, those same reply emails can be used to expand within existing accounts, personalize messaging, and identify trigger events and opportunities to upsell and cross-sell.
I’m not the only one looking forward to INBOUND…
INBOUND fuels the passion that drives the most innovative and successful business leaders of our time. Last year there were more than 14,000 attendees, and even more are expected this year. I reached out to a few industry thought leaders about why they were looking forward to the conference, and here’s what they had to say…
Larry Kim, Founder of Wordstream
“I’m greatly looking forward to Dharmesh and Brian’s keynote. I always attend it and it is hilarious!”
Matt Heinz,Founder of Heinz Marketing
“At conferences like INBOUND, I look forward to learning what practitioners are doing to innovate their sales and marketing. What are they testing, experimenting with, learning. One of the best things about conferences like this is the high volume of quality discussions that help me stay sharp, learn new things, get new ideas, etc.
Scott Brinker, President and CTO of ion Interactive
“I’m most looking forward to hearing HubSpot’s view of where marketing is headed in the year ahead — the keynote from Brian and Dharmesh and the company’s product launch session. I’m also fascinated to learn more about how HubSpot manages its own marketing operations.”
Greg Karelitz, HubSpot for Startups
“I’m most looking forward to the Startup Cocktail Event at this year’s INBOUND. With nearly 20,000 people in attendance at this year’s INBOUND, the opportunity to break out into a smaller, more intimate setting with entrepreneurs who have sacrificed a lot to travel to Boston and learn from one another for a few days is special. It’s always humbling and exciting to learn about people’s stories, experiences, and passions.”
Zak Pines, VP Marketing, Bedrock Data, Inc.
“HubSpot and the INBOUND movement have such an amazing community, so I’m very much looking forward to the energy and excitement that will come from the four days. I saw that in a big way with my recent HubSpot Power User Series.
Then there’s the fun. Club Inbound and the Seaport Parties are sure to be a hit. And at the Bedrock Data booth we’re featuring a fun giveaway, which is a 3 foot, custom built Lego of the HubSpot logo.
Lastly, I’m really looking forward to the keynote from Brian and Dharmesh. It’s always both informative and entertaining, and there are always some good surprises.”
There’s Still Time To Register
INBOUND’s purpose is to provide the inspiration, education, and connections to thousands of marketing and sales professionals from almost every industry imaginable and from all corners of the globe. Through inspiring keynotes, innovative talks, educational breakouts, hands-on lessons, and tons of networking, attendees will learn how the INBOUND experience, and especially our content, is truly remarkable.
INBOUND is not a HubSpot user’s event. In fact, you don’t even need to be using HubSpot (or know how to use it) in order to benefit from the strategies you’ll learn attending the conference. It’s designed to help any marketing or sales team take their campaigns to the next level.
This year’s speakers (2016) include Alec Baldwin, Reshma Saujani, Gary Vaynerchuk, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah, Anna Kendrick, and more!
